Scratch and Sniff

OK, so maybe just "Sniff" would be more appropriate title for this blog... but it's not as catchy..

I didn't really mean to, but after a quick inventory of things I have planned for the reception I've realized I have a little scent theme going on.

In true yoga teacher fashion, I have lavendar-scented eye pillow favors.


Lavender-scented Sachets, which I suppose will also be favors?

and lavender-scented candles

Since this happened so organically, I thought it must be a good thing. I'm also considering asking my florist to add a little fresh lavender to my bouquet.... oooh, and the centerpieces!

I hope the aromatherapy helps everybody stay calm and relaxed during the festivities. And maybe whenever they smell lavender later on, they'll think about our special day.

Is anybody else using scent to help set the tone for their wedding?
